Vikings head south with a 10-0 victory over SOTA

Mendon won its home opener on Friday 4/11 by the score of 10 to 0. Strong pitching and consistent hitting by the Vikings allowed them to pull away early. Junior, Tim Oliver, pitched 3 innings to earn the win. Seniors, John Ciaccio and Dane VanBenthuysen, each contributed a scoreless inning on the hill while sophomores, Rahul Venkatesh and Joe Trabold came in and did the same.
The offense was led by Ryan Amoroso (4 hits in 4 at bats) and Samuel Anaya(3 hits in 3 at bats). As a team, Mendon pounded out 13 hits. We are off to Florida in the morning to play 5 games in 5 days at ESPN Wide World of Sports in Orlando. Mendon is now 1-1.
