Mendon rolled into Canandaigua today and got the bats going early. The Vikings plated 2 runs in the top of the first on an RBI ground out by Zach Troiani and an RBI single by Mark Davis.
Statrting pitcher, Max Owens, worked quickly and efficiently through the first five innings allowing only 3 singles and no runs to earn his 4th win of the season.
Connor Winn had another good day at the plate going 3 for 4 with 2 RBI and 3 runs scored. Jake Volker added 2 hits of his own and also scored 3 runs. Mark Davis was 2 for 4 with 2 RBI.
Sophomore, Tim Oliver, came on and pitched the final 2 innings allowing only 1 earned run on three hits while recording 2 strikeouts.
The Vikings improve to 7-3 on the season and play at Aquinas on Monday in a non league game.
